A 6.0 Earthquake occurred today (October 30, 2024) off the Oregon Coast – don’t worry, no tsunami threat! This was not on the Cascadia Subduction Zone but where the Juan de Fuca plate meets the Pacific plate, called the Juan de Fuca Ridge. This spot has frequent earthquakes at magnitude 5 or less, every couple of months.
