4th Thursday Seminar Series
On the 4th Thursday from 9:00am – 10:00am (Pacific Time), the Cascadia CoPes Hub is hosting a seminar series to highlight Hub research or bring in guest speakers directly related to Hub work.
Reach out cascadia.copes@oregonstate.edu for the zoom information.
Upcoming Seminars
Past Seminars
October 23, 2025 – Updates on Tsunami Modeling from Hub Researchers. Watch
Here
Speakers: Randy LeVeque, Yong Wei, Bering Tse, and Erick Velasco-Reyes
Join us for
a wide-ranging update on various aspects of tsunami research occurring in the Cascadia CoPes Hub. Collectively, our team is combining new computer models and geologic evidence to better understand how past earthquakes and tsunamis
unfolded along the Cascadia Subduction Zone. By studying both the geologic record and realistic simulations of future events, we aim to improve forecasts of tsunami impacts and support safer, more resilient coastal communities across
the Pacific Northwest. Hear from four of our researchers on their current work in the Hub!
